Apakah menyenangkan? Well, lebih banyak menyenangkannya kok, meskipun mustahil bisa senantiasa menyenangkan sepanjang waktu. Apakah mudah? It’s so so so much easier to live alone, I swear. Having different background, education and values make it impossible to have zero problems with your spouse. Pasti ada berantemnya, pasti ada diem-dieman-nya, pasti ada nggak enaknya. Ya ternyata memang begitulah kehidupan pernikahan. But it’s fun and it’s less lonely.

Having someone to share everything with could be overwhelming at times but it could also feels great. Communication, that’s the key.

Since I was in college, I felt that I was always by myself so I didn’t have to explain myself or express my feelings to other people. I just kept it for myself until the feelings were gone. It became a habit which makes communicating my feelings is one of the hardest thing that I’ve ever have to do. And in a relationship, this kind of attitude sucks. Both for me and my spouse. Now it’s not just me but it’s us so there are adjustments that need to be made. We’re still working on this but it’s getting better.

Marriage needs a lot of work, man, and it’s something that you’re willing to do. You’re volunteering to be a part of someone’s life, in good and in bad. Puas-puasin deh menyendiri dulu. Take chances, take a master degree, go travelling, meet new people, try to understand yourself better, try something you want to try but too afraid to do. Take your time. You’ll have the rest of your life together once you’re married so don’t rush it.

It's been too long since I wrote my last post, which is in 2017, wow. Tons of things are happening in the span of 2 years but I was too weary to write them down. There were some moments in that 2 years where I felt so desolate I didn't want to do anything productive other than watching movies or series after work. Life seemed so monotonous and I felt so far away from my favourite people. It was tough. It was lonely. Until one day, a stranger came into my life and it wasn't that lonely anymore.

Long story short, the highlight of that 2 years is: I got married.
Well, I was at the age where everyone around my age are getting married and questions about when will I follow their steps to get into marriage life is like a regular snack.  However, at some point at that time, I was no longer worry about getting married. There would only be two options: to get married or not to get married. It's actually that simple. Whatever will be, will be.
But then, Caesar came into my life, knocked at my door. He tried to get close to met but I pushed him away. He still looked like some boy who's not ready to settle down while I was tired of bullshit about romance.
Until one day I attended a relatives' wedding in Bali and Mum told me that I should start thinking about getting married lol. I told her that there is this boy who is trying to get close to me but he was not my type and I thought that he's too immature for me. Not to my surprise, Mum said that I should give it a try. There's nothing wrong in opening up to someone who is interested in us. As a woman, it's better to be loved than chasing after love, she said. Well, she's got her point.

Four months after that I'm getting engaged to Caesar and seven months after the engagement we got married.

The funny part is I recorded Caesar in my phone long before I even knew him! Coincidence?
So on July 2017 I was out with Jodi and we passed a parade of elephant near the zoo in my hometown. I automatically take my phone out and recorded the parade as we passed. A year later, when I was preparing for the engagement, I just realized that Caesar was with the elephant parade and I got him recorded on my phone. It's funny how such a coincidence could occur to myself.

Now it's been six months since our wedding and I'm happy I listened to my Mum back then.

After having a quite painful and heartbreaking 2012 (Oh, I made it sounds terrible. It was still an awesome year though, 2012), 2013 was such a really great and wonderful year for me. Guess it is true that we should give time some time.
A lot of things happens. A (hell) LOT of unexpected and surprising things, the sweet ones and bitter ones. This year is like a twist. I've got new members in my family; went travelling to many amazing places; met superb awesome new friends and got the chance to know my (old) friends better; and I also had a chance to go with someone-that-I-never-imagine-I-could-hang out-with.
Here's the short recap of what I've been through this year

January
Well, nothing special happens this month :/

February
First full day trip with the girls! We went to Solo: eating some delicious food, window shopping at Solo Mall Paragon, cooling down at Kemuning Tea Plantation and Sukuh Temple.

On February I also had a sudden trip to Goa Cerme with Mum. Mum and daughter's time!

And the fourth semester was started on February. Yeay (?)

March
There was an upgrading agenda for the board of EDSA taken place at Kebun Buah Mangunan in Imogiri. I never knew that Jogja has a place with Shire-like-view. Yes, I mean Shire in LOTR, anyway.

April
Another not-really-special month, nothing happened except Paramore released new album.

May
A trip to Air Terjun Sri Gethuk with PIPH EDSA. Tbh, at first I didn't want to be the part of EDSA, I thought it stinks ahahaha. But these people thought me that we are more than just a student organization <3

An unplanned trip to Candi Plaosan with Difara and Tata. Sometimes, you don't need a plan to have a good time and an exciting adventure.

Then my mum suddenly take me to Pasuruan and we went to Bromo! That was the first time I went back there after years.

June
Afgan, Andien, and GAC in one stage. Next time if Afgan had another concert, I have to buy the front seat :/

My cousin's wedding and then my mum's. I told you I have new family members, right?

July
Holidays! Went to Baluran and Bromo with my cousins. This time I could see the sunrise, yeay! Oh I looove my family and I looove travelling!

August
Started the fifth semester and made a big decision to take Linguistics major. Now I think that was the best decision.
It was my birthday and I oficially 21 years old!  I'm sooo blessed to have a lot of people who love me.

September
Got a bunch of awesome new friends from other countries.
A trip to Dieng with some classmates. It was the first time I see the golden sunrise and made me crave for more. This was how I got closer to them and realize that they were more than I thought they were. And this was also how I get a good companion to go travelling, yohoooo!

October
Went hiking for the first time of my life! I always thought that I would never go hiking, remembering that my physical condition was so lame. But I did make it! I went to Mt. Sindoro Thanks to my super supportive friends, you guys are the best! I was thinking that it was funny how we first could only stare the top of Sindoro from Sikunir then the next month we were there. Epic!

November
Global Culture Festival 2013!

December
The last trip of this year: Pantai Greweng and Cave Tubing at Kalisuci. They were also kinda sudden trip actually.

Watched two concerts in a week and both of them were awesome.

And yesterday I spend the last evening of 2013 with someone who I thought would never even notice me. What a twist. No?

As I write this post, I'm getting more grateful for this year. I couldn't hide that there were also some uncomfortable and bitter things happen. But I prefer to count the lovely ones.
Not really have special resolution for 2014, except to make it as awesome as 2013.

Please surprise me, 2014.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

me and my big man ♥
Hai, Ayah.
Pasti udah banyak ubannya.

Nggak kerasa udah hampir lima tahun aja Ayah pergi.

Sebelum makan Ayah pasti glothekan pake piring sama sendok, terus kalo makan lamaaaa banget, tapi Ayah bakalan selalu makan sampai makanannya benar-benar habis tak bersisa, kecuali tulang sih.

Aku udah lupa kapan terakhir kali diboncengin Ayah. Tapi aku masih inget kok, gimana Ayah kalo naik motor. Naik pitung merah kesayangan Ayah itu. Aku paling seneng kalo mbonceng Ayah pas ngebut. Kayaknya Ayah kalo ngebut penak banget. Was... wes.. wos... tapi nggak pernah jatoh. Pernah sih nabrak knalpot orang, inget nggak waktu Ayah nganter aku nerangkat sekolah itu? Tapi yang jatoh malah aku yang bonceng, Ayah sama yang ditabrak gak kenapa-kenapa -,-

Aku udah lupa kapan terakhir kali denger Ayah ketawa, kapan terakhir kali denger Ayah nyanyi. Tapi aku masih inget gimana cara ketawa Ayah. Apalagi pas nonton The God Must Be Crazy, ketawanya cetar membahana :)) Aku juga masih inget Ayah sukanya nyanyi-nyanyi lagu jaman 80an abis mandi sambil joged-joged, padahal cuma pake anduk doang.

Aku udah lupa kapan terakhir kali aku denger Ayah ngaji, tapi suara Ayah pas lagi ngaji bakalan selalu nempel di otak. Sebagai seorang jebolan Mualimin, Ayah emang t.o.p kalo disuruh ngaji.
Aku lupa kapan terakhir kali nonton bola sama Ayah. Tapi aku inget banget Ayah nggak pernah absen nonton bola. Meskipun kalo nonton siaran bola dini hari, ntar endingnya TVnya yang nonton Ayah nyampe pagi. Dulu pas aku kecil kan kita sukanya rebutan TV dan aku hampir selalu menang kekeke~ Mungkin karena capek ngalah terus, makanya Ayah nularin aku kecintaannya sama sepakbola, jadi kalo ada siaran bola yang nggak terlalu malem aku juga ikutan nonton. Masih kebawa nih sampe sekarang, meskipun aku udah nggak se up date dulu sih.

Iya sih, emang rokok Ayah kan banter banget.

Ayah, aku kangen sama Ayah. Kangen banged, pake d. Happy Birthday my big man. I miss you, and I love you so so so sooo much. Smooch~ ♥
xoxo,

your  20 y.o little girl

Happy New Year everybody!
*throwing confetti*

It's 2013, ladies and gentlemen. And, it turns out that 2012 is not the end of the world. Ha ha ha, like I believe that. So, I'm not going to write about what have happened in 2012, what I've done, what I've achieved, or what I've been through. I guess there were much pain back then. But don't get me wrong, I do have some tons of great things happened to me. I have superb family and super awesome friends who enlighten my days. It's just that -- like what Augustus Waters said-- "Pain demands to be felt.". Perhaps that's why it doesn't easy to erase the pain away.

Ups, enough with the nostalgia. It's 2013, dude! A brand new year, brand new days. New year, new resolution. However, I'm not going to write about my resolution here either. Why? So, there is my favorite column in Jawa Pos, written by mbak Kika Dhersy Putri, and this column only comes out every Monday, is talking about new year's resolution this week. The article is Resolusi Basi and it's kinda flicked me. You know, at first I'd like to write my resolution here in my blog, but after reading the article, I think about it again and decided not to. I still write my resolution, though. I think it's better to share what I've been through later, rather than sharing what I would do now, but I couldn't make it happen. And anyway, I don't think you'll be interested with my resolution hahaha.

But, let me tell you something... One thing that I have to do in 2013 is TRAVELLING. Even though I'll just go to Solo or other nearby cities. I must go on (at least) an adventure. I've been spending too much time at home, really. It's a shame that I just realize how great travelling is.

Another thing I want to advice myself (and you) to do is having a 2013 jar. I will fill it with notes about good things that (will) happen through this year. At the end of the years, on new years eve, I could empty it and see what awesome stuff (had) happened to me. Maybe you've heard or know about it, but just pretend that it's a really good idea that you just found out when you read this. Deal?

FYI, I have to start 2013 with final exam. Sounds so interesting, huh? So now I have to put my butt back to work study. Wish me luck with my exam, and wish me luck making 2013 a super awesome and memorable year. Happy New Year! <:D
